Meet your Scientific Advisory Board
The Mark Hughes Cellular & Molecular Nutrition Laboratory was established at the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition through a donation from Herbalife. Its mission is to advance nutritional science to new levels of understanding, by using the most progressive research and development technologies available. As a result, the lab will lead the way in developing new scientific standards in thefields of nutrition and herbal products.
In support of Herbalife’s commitment to developing products at the forefront of the wellness industry, it is taking the lead in scientific and nutritional advancements. Herbalife is utilising the combined resources of our newly formed Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and the Mark Hughes Cellular & Molecular Nutrition Laboratory.
There Scientific Advisory Board scientists oversee
groundbreaking research on the use of nutritional products for enhanced health and weight control. Through studies of synergistic combinations of herbs, they are the engine behind product development. Their clinical data validates the health benefits of specific herbs and contributes to the refinement of our exacting formulations. The Board members function as stewards for our product research, steering the development of new products and line expansions by ensuring the quality, efficacy and safety of the products.
The Board serves as an invaluable source of comprehensive knowledge on the health benefits of our products and programmes, working closely
with leading authorities in nutritional science, manufacturing and worldwide regulatory affairs.
In addition, our newly formed Advisory Group serves as an educational resource for Herbalife’s global network of Distributors. Jamie McManus, Janice Thompson, Jonathan Liss, Kim Krumhar and Mario Rosenberg provide
expertise in such areas as sports nutrition, botanical science and Outer Nutrition®. These specialists offer day-to-day guidance on nutritional and
scientific affairs relating to Herbalife product usage and benefits. In constant contact with Distributors, the team uses feedback to assess training needs
and develop future curriculums. |
